Our Pricing Structure

Initial enquiry or advice is always free of charge

At Christopher Anthony Surveyors we believe in clear, transparent and competitive fees. Our pricing is fixed where possible, with all costs explained upfront so you know exactly what to expect.

Service of Notice – £50 plus VAT + Land Registry Fees

Our Party Wall Notice service is a fixed fee of £50 + VAT, which covers the preparation and service of up to three Adjoining Owner notices under one instruction.

This service includes:

  • Land Registry searches for ownership details (£7 + VAT per register)
  • Providing explanatory notes and a form of consent
  • Serving the notice with a stamped addressed envelope for prompt reply
  • Follow-up “Ten Day Notices” if a neighbour fails to respond

If more than three Adjoining Owners are affected, we are happy to discuss additional fees and provide a fair quotation.

Building Owner Surveyor – From £699 plus VAT

For Building Owners, our fixed fee is £699 + VAT per Award (excluding underpinning and basement works).

This includes:

  • Drafting and serving the Party Wall Award
  • Undertaking a Schedule of Condition survey at the Adjoining Owner’s property
  • Clear advice and communication throughout the process

Where multiple Adjoining Owners are involved, we provide reduced rates for subsequent Awards to reflect duplication of work and to help keep overall costs down.

Agreed Surveyor – From £699 plus VAT

As the Agreed Surveyor (acting impartially for both Building and Adjoining Owners), our fee starts at £699 + VAT per Award.

This provides the same service as for Building Owners, including the Award and Schedule of Condition survey.

Adjoining Owner Surveyor – Hourly or Fixed Fee

For Adjoining Owners, surveyor fees are normally paid by the Building Owner.

Our standard rate is £180 + VAT per hour.
In many cases we can agree a fixed fee in advance (at the request of the Building Owner).

Notes on Fees

  • All fees are subject to formal quotation once project details are reviewed.
  • Additional costs may apply for complex works such as underpinning or basement construction.
  • Written quotations are always provided before any work begins
Who pays the Party Wall Surveyor fees?

In most cases, the Building Owner (the person carrying out the works) is responsible for paying the surveyor’s reasonable fees, including those of the Adjoining Owner’s surveyor.

Do you offer fixed fees for Adjoining Owners?

Yes. While our standard rate is hourly, we can agree a fixed fee in advance if the Building Owner requests this, providing cost certainty.

Are reduced fees available if there are multiple neighbours?

Yes. For Building Owners with more than one Adjoining Owner, we offer reduced rates for subsequent Awards to reflect duplication and keep costs fair.
