We understand that for architects, party wall delays can derail a project before it begins. Christopher Anthony Surveyors works alongside practices across London to make the party wall process fast, transparent, and hassle-free, so your clients stay on schedule and your reputation stays intact.
Based in Hackney, we cover all London boroughs and regularly act for homeowners and developers introduced through architectural practices. Whether it's a rear extension in Islington, a loft in Haringey, or a basement in Tower Hamlets, we know the territory.
Early Programme Advice — Before Problems Arise
We can review your drawings as soon as they're ready and confirm which party wall notices are required, the relevant notice periods, and any constraints that might affect your programme. Getting us involved early means your client won't hit unexpected delays once planning is approved.
Notice Preparation — Fast and Correct
We prepare and serve all party wall notices on your client's behalf, including Land Registry searches to confirm ownership, stamped envelopes, and follow-up 10-day notices if required. Notices are typically issued within 1 to 2 working days of instruction.
A Single Point of Contact
Rather than leaving your client to navigate the process alone, we handle all correspondence with adjoining owners from start to finish. You'll have one direct line to our team for any project queries, keeping communication clean and professional.
Schedule of Condition Surveys
We carry out detailed photographic and written schedules of condition before works begin, protecting both your client and the neighbouring property. Reports are clear, thorough, and stored on file for up to 7 years.
Party Wall Awards — Agreed Quickly
Where a dispute is deemed, we move efficiently to agree the Party Wall Award. Most residential awards are agreed within 3 to 5 weeks, depending on the neighbouring surveyor's response times. We keep you and your client updated throughout.
We believe in transparent, fixed-fee pricing — making it easy for you to brief clients at the outset of a project.
Party Wall Notice:
£50 per notice + VAT, plus Land Registry search fees at cost (£7 per title).
Schedule of Condition Survey:
£350 + VAT — includes full photographic and written report.
Party Wall Award (Principal):
£699 + VAT as Building Owner Surveyor. Reduced rates apply for multiple awards.
All fees are fixed. There are no hourly rate surprises. We're happy to provide a written fee proposal for any project at no cost.
A number of architectural practices we work with regularly ask us to provide party wall notices directly to their clients as part of the design process. We're happy to discuss how we can support your practice in this way, including providing template explanatory letters you can send to clients alongside the formal notice documentation.
If you'd like to explore a closer working arrangement, please get in touch for an informal conversation.
If you're an architect working on a project that may involve party wall matters, we'd welcome a conversation. We offer free initial telephone advice and can usually turn around a written fee proposal within 24 hours.
